How long will it last?
The current exponential increase in the use of Twitter continues this week and with St Valentine's day tomorrow, it is thankfully not a working day for many but Twitters may reach a peak tomorrow. Will the system survive? How quickly will we tire of it? With over 200% increase in traffic to this website and some interesting connections could this be the REAL new big thing?
Twitter will create an avalanche of new idea such as live Twitter feeds on your website and even screens in shopping centres but how will it monetise and will this amount of extra web traffic alter the SMS traffic but increase the use mobile and the overall dynamics we have seen in the social networking sphere? One thing for sure this is a very exciting world wide human interaction experiment and we are doing it to ourselves.
Do we need a 'rate this Tweeter' application so we can filter out what we don't like or does that defeat the whole concept.....email your thoughts to twitter@greenfield.co.uk
