Conor Fogerty, the adventurous Irish ocean racer, as pledged his support and entered FFORC 2020 with a two boat team. Conor will train in a Figaro 3 in Ireland and race in the FFORC from Cowes in one of the ten seed yachts.
"Myself and Stuart met several weeks ago to discuss an entry to FFORC, I was taken by his idea of an offshore racing circuit, along the lines of RORC. Having done a successful campaign on Bam a Sunfast 3600, winning the 600, tearing across the Atlantic and finishing 3rd overall in the class RORC series, I understand the excitement of such a circuit. And the potential of foiling oceans in a keel boat brings it to another level. So much so I have committed myself to a two boat campaign. A training boat in Ireland, and a fully managed boat with FFORC. This is the future of sailing. I am proud to be part of the program and look forward to Ireland racing against the best in the World! "
Stuart Greenfield added:
" Conor is a fearless racer and after a recent visit to the Bénéteau factory in France he immediately ordered a yacht. With solo, double handed and fully crewed campaigns to his name Conor's FFORC team is a fabulous entry and reflects the interest for this new series outside the UK."
